  1. The number portion for the rent, etc is way, way, way off. Rooms in houses can be rented for $700/800 a month but very rare in 2022 to find an apartment for those rates. Maybe be the further up island one goes as well as the house prices. The population is also off in article for Nanaimo as the census for 2021 was approximately 170,000 people not 70,000.
